Why Learn Spanish? Spanish is a member of the Romance language group in the Italic subfamily of the Indo-European language family and it is one of the easiest foreign languages to learn. Much of its vocabulary is similar to English's, and written Spanish is almost completely phonetic: Look at almost any Spanish word and you can tell how it is pronounced. And while mastering the grammar of Spanish can be a challenge, basic grammar is straightforward enough that you can have meaningful communication after only a few lessons

The Spanish Language is the official language of Spain and the native language of 322 million to 358 million people in the world. Many of those people live in the other countries where Spanish is the official language: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Spanish is also the official language of the commonwealth of Puerto Rico and is widely spoken in several other nations, including Canada, Morocco, the Philippines, and the United States.

It is predicted that by the year 2020, 51 million people will speak Spanish in the US. Approximately 17.5 million people (10% of the US population) speak Spanish

Our classes follow a functional-communications approach, with an emphasis on discussion of everyday activities. This teaching method facilitates practical usage and encourages the habit of thinking in your new language from the beginning. The meaning of words is conveyed through pictures, drawings, and real objects, as well as hands-on activities that involve the five senses in the learning process.
